Fillings
Fillings are used to repair broken or decayed teeth back to their normal shape and function. The damaged or decayed tooth structure is prepared until it is clean and free from bacteria. It is then restored to seal off spaces where bacteria can enter, preventing further decay.
A variety of different materials can be used to repair teeth; including white (plastic) fillings, ceramic or gold. The most suitable type of material depends on the location and extent of damage and our dentists are happy to discuss the different options with you to help decide which one will be the most appropriate. The best part? Fillings are only $199 at Comfort Dental Gympie. Take a look at our fixed fees to see how much you could be saving on your next visit to the dentist.

Dentures
Dentures are one of several options for replacing missing teeth. Depending on each individual patient case, they may receive full or partial dentures.
Full dentures are used when all of the natural teeth are removed from the mouth and replaced with a full set of dentures. Partial dentures are another option when not all of your teeth need to be removed.
Other options for replacing teeth include bridges and implants. Our dentists are always happy to discuss options and advise you on which may be the most appropriate.
Wisdom Teeth
Our mouth often doesn’t have the space to accommodate wisdom teeth and have the potential to cause infection, crowding, and even decay. Having them removed may save you from pain and/or further oral complications. However, not all patients need their wisdom tooth removed.
Problems that can occur in wisdom teeth that:
- Remain completely under the gums: Wisdom teeth can become trapped (impacted) within your jaw. Sometimes they can develop infections or cysts which can damage other teeth.
- Emerge partially above the gums: These can create a passageway that can become a magnet for bacteria that can cause gum disease and infection.
Root Canal Treatment
If decay is left unresolved for a period of time, it can eventually reach the pulp or living tissue within the tooth. When this happens your tooth becomes infected and can result in a painful and constant toothache. Root Canal Treatment simply involves cleaning out the internal canal of the tooth where the pulp resides. It is then sealed off to prevent further invasion by bacteria. These teeth are often heavily affected by decay and following Root Canal Treatment, a protective covering (dental crown) may be recommended to restore strength and function for the tooth.
Root Canal Treatment is covered under our capped price dental program. Take a look at our fixed fees to see how much you could be saving on your next visit to the dentist.
Mouthguards
Our team loves that we have patients who are active in sports—but protecting your smile while playing sports is essential. A great way to keep your smile safe is to wear a customised mouthguard. Many sports pose the risk of getting hit in the face either from a person, ball or any other objects. So it’s important you have full mouth protection to prevent severe damage. We construct a comfortable mouthguard to protect your smile so you can get out and play your A-game.
